Arrived with the wind (DK)

Wings underfoot

With a 41% share – the EU share being 14% – of the total electricity consumption in 2018, alongside increased prices, wind power has established itself as the most important energy source in the Danish power supply.

Tunø Knob Offshore Wind Farm is an offshore wind farm in the Bay of Aarhus, one of the two world pioneering ones, commissioned in 1995.

In the same spirit of green approach to living, Tunø is an island without cars. Everyone is invited to enjoy its beauties and the particularly good microclimate – with mulberry and fig trees growing there – by foot, by bike, by sailing or kayaking.
