Crabyon fiber is made from a blend of chitosan and viscose. Chitosan is a derivative of chitin, a naturally occurring compound obtained from the shells of crabs and crustaceans (food or processing waste). Chitin is an absolutely “safe” material whose biocompatibility has been scientifically verified, so much so that it is also used in the medical, healthcare, and pharmaceutical fields.
